Star Trek Fan Poetry "love Ship" by Amalia Zents

My Valentine fan-poem for James Zents.
It can be heard on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETAAu03Ij-I
"Love Ship"
By Amalia Zents ( fan of Star trek)

"Aye, Aye Captain,"
You are my favorite star.
I have found my universe
Here with you.
Glad to journey with you
on our own starship Zents.
A lifelong mission of discovery.
Seeking out our destiny year by year.
Discovering new and exciting things
About life, each other and our future,
Without fear.
Memories are logged daily to record what we've
Learned and where we've been.
We work tirelessly onboard this love ship of ours,
Traveling through different worlds,
And through different spaces;
On voyages safe, and in dangerous places.
Whatever our destination requires,
The adventure continues.
As we stay on course
And try our best,
To boldly go where no couple has gone before!

Our 6th Year of Marriage Anniversary Poem! By Amalia E. Zents to James H. Zents

Just let me tell you my darling how much I truly care,
Even if Heaven and Earth are already well aware,
I think they know together we make a perfect pair;
And it doesn't bother me, when we go out, if people stop and stare!

I think of you no matter what, no matter when, or where;
Whether I'm in bed, or walking the dogs, or in the dentist's chair.
Whether near or far you are, I always see you there;
No matter if you're covered up, or in your underwear!

I wonder if our passion, to the world I should declare;
Should I proclaim my love for you or else not even dare?
I love to walk with you, o'er beaches broad, and bare,
I love your smile, your laugh, your kiss, and your gray-brown hair.

Should anyone want to harm you they had really better beware
Defending your trust and wonderful heart, stands Justice strong and fair,
You make my life worth living, and make me dance on air.
There is no one else on earth I know to whom you can compare.

I hope I never do anything that might our romance impair
Why confine this conscience of mine to be thrust in a dragon's lair?
A priceless thing is pleasant, the roof off we can tear
Our joyful hearts gave us this gift, a love we both can share!!

"Canine Wills," by Amalia (Amy) Zents

“Canine Wills,”
by Amalia (Amy) Zents

“Just went for a walk in the pouring rain
with a broken umbrella that flopped left and right;
Trying to stabilize it was like propping up a sailor,
Drunk and ready to fight.
The dogs came with me on my walk;
their fur got soaking wet;
But they begged me to go out with them,
and therefore out we went!
The Lilac trees and fresh mown grass
smelled fresh and cool and sweet,
The sky was dark, the lamps were lit,
as my wet socks soaked my feet;
Two canine wills prevailed o’er me,
although both dogs got drenched
As we journeyed home,
we all felt glad their urge to pee was quenched!”

"Spring Has Sprung," by Amalia (Amy) Zents

“Spring has Sprung”
by Amy Zents

“Spring has Sprung”
by Amalia (Amy) Zents

“Spring has sprung!
The fun’s begun~
Time to mow,
Time to plant,
Time to work,
Time to pant!
Spring has sprung!
The bugs are back~
The weeds are
Keeping right on track!
Spring has sprung!
So let’s all smile;
The blooming plants
Make it all worthwhile!"

"Universal Trust," by Amalia (Amy) E. Zents

"A Universal Trust,"
by Amy Zents

"Before you reach the end of the trail,
Keep in mind some rules-
To make the world a happier place
You have to "suffer fools."
Everyone can teach you something
Never keep from learning,
Everyone is gifted;
So, keep your love-light burning.
It's possible to mitigate strife,
By being wise and just;
And making folks feel special
Is a universal trust

"His Music," By Amalia E. Zents for James H. Zents

"His Music," by Amalia E. Zents for James H. Zents

His music plays inside my soul.
The beatings of my tender heart
Thump fast;
When I think of my beloved
How we’ve made love last.
In the soft light, when the shades are drawn
and all the daytime noise is gone,
Sometimes my memories remind me,
Of fears I’ve had, and tears I’ve shed,
But I go on.
No one else can comfort me
Like he does,
Helping me find happiness
through his eyes of love.
Helping me take my mind off me,
He guides me out to a world of wonder
With a personal guitar journey
As my ears collide with the bonny notes
I catch the colors of Spring,
His music makes me clap my hands, and dance and laugh and sing
Leading me to better place,
Clasping me in it’s warm embrace.
His music easily helps me find,
A better frame of heart and mind!

There’s So Much to Please,” by Amy Zents

5/20/19

“Don’t like the way the sky looks?
But it wouldn’t be so green,
without the clouds .
We need the water falling to make it pure
We need the trees and the flowers
The birds and bees.
We need the wind and the grass;
It makes the view;
Even the sky blue.
And when the day rolls by
We can see the gardens,
As they thrive in the shade and sun
We can picnic on the lawn
We can climb a hill, cross a bridge
or take a swim.
No need to hurry, no need to be in a
rush
Just watch the water gush into the lake
Get some exercise.
Look at the rocks and water,
The river flowing, always going..
Beauty is on and off the path
Beauty is in our present and past
The dark clouds and the white
The day turns into night.
When you feel overwhelmed
Imagine the majesty of the rainbow
And find shelter on a path to escape,
Take a walk beneath the trees
Contemplate the leaves
Think of horses, feel the breeze
There’s so much to please.”
