“5th Wedding Anniversary Poem”

I’d like to tell you a little story
It’s about a man that I love
He’s got a broad smile
And fancy brown eyes
With lashes that wave at me
whenever he blinks
I’d like to brag about my lover
I’m glad that we’re together
He’s with me every day
And eats with me in bed
And helps me keep our two dogs
off our tray.
Love is more than an amusement
It’s a commitment to each other
A promise of a happy destination
That is found in the journey.
On our 5th wedding anniversary
Where the gift is wood
May our love grow like the mighty oak tree
As our powerful love behaves like the
tiny acorn who continues to grow as it stands its ground.
